Turn a rambling voice dump into tickets you can assign

17 August 2026

A voice dump split into issue cards with a title, definition of done, and the time the request was spoken.

A rambling voice dump often hides three real tasks. The file is five minutes. Nobody opens it. The tasks die.

Cards you can copy

Ticket factory turns spoken requests into issue cards: a title, what “done” would mean, and the time it was asked. You copy them into your tracker.

Example: a founder voice note becomes four tickets instead of a forgotten file.

What a good dump sounds like

“We need a password reset on the help page. Done means a customer can finish without chatting. Also the invoice PDF is wrapping on mobile.” Two cards. If the note is only vibes — “the app feels slow” — the card will be vague because the speech was vague. That is useful. It shows you do not yet have a ticket.

Inbox vs tickets vs procedure

Voice-note inbox is a scan of many short notes. Ticket factory is one recording that already contains work. Walkthrough to procedure is how something is done, not a request to change it.

Limitations

The tool does not create issues in Jira or GitHub. It does not assign owners who were never named. It will not split a political rant into a roadmap. Empty lists stay empty when no request was spoken.

Copy the cards the same day. If two cards are really one job, merge them in the tracker yourself. If a card has no “done,” it is a conversation, not a ticket — leave it out.
