Scan a recording for phrases you cannot keep or share

A few forbidden phrases can make a recording unsafe to keep or share. “Guaranteed returns.” A medical claim you are not allowed to make. An internal code name that must not leave the building.

A report, not a legal opinion

Compliance phrase scanner flags those lines with times and can mute them in a cleaned copy. You get a report. It does not say you are compliant. It does not replace counsel.

Example: a sales call is checked for “guaranteed returns” before it is filed.

Bring your own list

Add the phrases your team already watches for. A default swear list is not your policy. The scanner looks for what you type and for common risk phrases; your list is the one that matches your work.

If you already know the file only needs names muted, Swear and name mute is the narrower tool. If the whole file must not travel, do not scan-and-share. Keep it.

After a flag

Play the clip. A false hit is common when a word has another meaning. Then choose: mute, share a pack of other seconds, or do not send the file.

If you will paste any of this call into a help page, scan first. A phrase you would never print should not survive into the draft.

Limitations

This is a check on a file you already recorded, not a monitor of a workplace. Transcript errors hide phrases. Homophones slip through. If the report is empty, do not treat that as “cleared.” It means nothing on your list was found in this transcript.
