How to keep evidence from a recorded call without rewriting it

“They agreed to ship Friday” is an easy recap. It may not be what was said. Evidence from a call is narrower: the words, the time, and a clip only if someone else must hear it.

Do not start from the recap

Write the recap last. First get a transcript. Find the line. Play it. Then copy the words you heard, including “maybe” and “if finance agrees.” If you cannot find the line, you do not have that claim yet.

Quote hunter is the search. Promise ledger is for a clear “I will.” Spoken numbers extract is for a figure. Use one of those when the job is that object. This page is the habit around all of them.

A five-step pass

1. Record only if you are allowed to.
2. Upload and wait for the transcript.
3. Find the line and play it.
4. Paste the words and the time. Attach a clip only when the other person needs audio.
5. Keep the original file on your side.

Do not tidy the quote

Do not fix the grammar. Do not drop the hedge. Do not forward the whole call when twenty seconds are enough — Redact-and-share pack packages only those seconds.
