Compare two recordings when this week’s story is not last week’s
6 July 2026

Two conversations can disagree. Memory will pick the version that is easier. You should not have to trust that.
What the comparison lists
Two-recording comparison takes this recording and an earlier one. It lists what is new, what disappeared, and what now contradicts the first file. Each row keeps times in both recordings.
Example: last week the price was 40,000; this week it is 52,000, and both clips sit on one page.
Good pairs
- A second interview and the first.
- This week’s standup and last week’s.
- A vendor call after they “checked with finance.”
Bad pairs: two unrelated files, or a loud cafe recording against a clean booth take. The transcripts have to be good enough to compare.
How to use a contradiction row
Play both clips before you send anything. A “contradiction” can be a clarified figure, a joke, or a transcript error. The tool does not say anyone is lying. It shows two lines that do not match.
If you only need the new number, Spoken numbers on the latest file may be enough. If you need the commitment around it, open Promise ledger on that same file.
Limitations
Speakers who paraphrase heavily will create a lot of “new” rows that are the same idea in new words. Skim. This is not a legal diff and not a claim about who changed terms first.
Keep both original files. The site is not a permanent archive of the pair.
