Translate Audio and Video with Timestamps

Translate a call recording with timestamps when one language must be read in another. Upload the file and type the language you need to read — for example English, Hindi, or Spanish. The original speech is transcribed first. Each grounded row keeps the original quote, a translation into your language, and the time. You can check the voice against the text. This is not a subtitle file, not a certified translation, and not a replacement for an interpreter.

Useful for Mixed-language teams and client work

  1. 1You name the language you need to read.
  2. 2The file is transcribed in the language that was actually spoken.
  3. 3A limited set of cues is sent for translation; each returned pair must match an original line and time.

Or use the general upload for a transcript, summary, chapters, and chat. All tools.

Run this tool

A recording and the language you want to read are both required.

What this tool does

A teammate’s paraphrase is easy to email and hard to check. This page produces a line table, not a smooth memo and not an SRT download. Translation runs on a sample of transcript cues (the first stretch of the file, not an unlimited hour). Each translation must match a real original line or it is dropped. If translation cannot run, you still get original lines and times. Mixed-language talk in one sentence is harder: the transcript may blend languages, and the translation may flatten that. There is no published language-pair list; quality depends on the transcript and whether analysis can return grounded lines.

How it works

  1. 1You name the language you need to read.
  2. 2The file is transcribed in the language that was actually spoken.
  3. 3A limited set of cues is sent for translation; each returned pair must match an original line and time.
  4. 4Rows show original quote, translation, and timestamp.
  5. 5If translation is unavailable, original lines are shown so you can still check the recording.

Who it is for

Mixed-language teams and client work where a paraphrase is not enough to act on.

What you can use it for

Hindi client call, English reader

Upload the call and type English. You get original Hindi (or mixed) lines next to English translations with times. A teammate who knows Hindi can check the original column. This is not something you file as a certified translation.

Vendor offer in another language

You need to read the offer today. Upload the meeting, type your reading language. Check numbers against the clip — translation can slip on figures. For a list of every spoken number, also run the numbers tool on the same file.

Interview quote you must not rewrite

Keep the original sentence and the translation on one row with a time. If you only need one phrase in the same language, use the quote tool instead.

Example: one line, two languages

A producer uploads a 12-minute Hindi client call and types English. Grounded rows keep both columns. Illustrative table — not a real customer file:

Language you asked to read: English

08:14
Original “Friday tak contract bhej denge.”
Translation “We will send the contract by Friday.”

If translation cannot run, you still see the original line and 08:14.

What you get

A table of original lines, translations, and times. If translation fails, original transcript lines and times only. Not an SRT, not a certificate.

  • Original quote stays on the row
  • Translation into the language you typed
  • Timestamp on every grounded line
  • Original lines still shown if translation cannot run

Supported files

MP4, MOV, or WEBM video, or MP3, M4A, or WAV audio. Upload from your device. We do not fetch files from other sites.

Limits to know

Not certified, not a caption export, not an interpreter in the room. Only a sample of cues is translated. Mixed-language sentences can transcribe poorly. Ungrounded translations are dropped. There is no guarantee for every language pair.

Tips for better results

  • Type the language name you need to read (English, Hindi, Spanish). Results depend on the transcript and the translation step.
  • Check names and numbers against the clip.
  • A long file is only sampled for translation. Important talk at the end may need a shorter cut or a second job.

Questions

Can I translate a call recording and keep timestamps?

Yes. Each grounded row keeps the original words, the translation, and the time.

Do you replace the original words?

No. The original line stays on the page.

Is this a certified translation or a subtitle file?

Neither. It is a reading table you can check against the recording. We do not download SRT from this tool.

Which languages are supported?

You type the language you need to read. Quality depends on the transcript and whether grounded translations come back. There is no published pair list.

What if the call mixes languages?

We transcribe what we hear and translate into the language you asked for. Mixed cues are harder; check the clip.

What if translation cannot run?

You still get original lines and times. We do not invent a translation.

Can I hunt one quote after this?

Use this page to read the call. To search one phrase, use the quote tool.
