A retake loop that stays small

Do not rerecord the whole piece for one miss unless the miss sits in a sentence you cannot punch in. Download the miss clip. Record that line. If the rest is clean, leave it. If the take is full of dead air after you are happy with the words, Dead-air and filler cut can tighten the file you already have.

Limitations

A script with stage directions will confuse the match. Paste the spoken lines only. Heavy paraphrase will show as “changed” even when the meaning is fine — that is the point for an ad read, and noise for a conversational podcast. You decide which misses matter.

If the miss is a discount or a name, retake that line before you caption anything. Captioning a wrong take only publishes the error.
